Career Foundation
Nathan E. Myers, MBA, CPA, Six Sigma Black Belt, is an enterprise risk, transformation, and data executive with more than two decades of leadership experience across Ernst & Young, Morgan Stanley, UBS Investment Bank, Credit Suisse, J.P. Morgan, and Citi. He holds both a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA in Accounting from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
Nathan’s career began in public accounting and evolved through progressively senior roles in investment banking, where he led product control, derivatives risk, securities lending, margin, and equity finance functions. His work centered on building scalable control environments, strengthening balance sheet integrity, and delivering strategic technology change across global markets businesses.
Enterprise Transformation
A significant portion of Nathan’s career has involved rebuilding enterprise risk management functions in environments subject to heightened regulatory expectations. At Citi, he led major ERM remediation initiatives, strengthened governance and control frameworks, and coordinated cross‑functional efforts to address supervisory commitments. His work required managing complex regulator relationships, aligning risk architecture and data with evolving expectations, and driving closure of critical remediation milestones across large, interdisciplinary teams.
Over time, Nathan transitioned from traditional finance and control leadership into enterprise‑scale transformation. He has designed and implemented operating models that modernize how organizations capture, structure, and govern data; built and enforced rigorous data quality standards; delivered automation portfolios spanning robotics process automation (RPA), workflow modernization, and end‑user analytics enablement; and shaped early governance patterns for emerging AI‑enabled tooling as it entered production environments.
Risk, Data & AI Governance
Nathan’s recent work focuses on AI governance, data governance, and the operating models required to safely scale advanced analytics across large institutions. He has seen firsthand the need for disciplined oversight as digital tools proliferate, and he has led efforts to embed governance, transparency, and control rigor into enterprise data and AI ecosystems. Across his career, Nathan has helped organizations strengthen institutional resilience by integrating risk management, technology transformation, and data‑driven decisioning. His work continues to center on building modern, durable, and well‑governed operating models for complex financial institutions.
Thought Leadership
Nathan is the co-author of Self‑Service Data Analytics and Governance for Managers (Wiley, 2021), a foundational text on governed analytics enablement, and the author of the white paper AI Computational Memory: A Category‑Level Framework for Governed Continuity (2026), which proposes a structured approach for governing persistent analytical state in modern AI architectures. His work has also been published in peer‑reviewed and professional journals, including Strategic Finance (Institute of Management Accountants) and Internal Auditor (Institute of Internal Auditors), where he has written on data governance, analytics operating models, and AI‑adjacent risk themes.
